Visit nearly any blog and you will see the little social buttons asking you to share their site or post.  In my own opinion Social Links or "Social Sharing” as I like to call it can seriously help you to build your product brand and reputation on the interent.
One of the main reasons that social media is important now is simply because everyone is using it.
